The South Carolina Cremation Society is a group of people united in the belief that cremation is a dignified method of disposition.

Since being established in 2000, we have assisted thousands of people in arranging simple and inexpensive cremation services.

In May of 2013, we moved to our current location to be more centrally located in the state. Freshening up our logo and website, we also removed the reference to burial from our name to further emphasize our specialty.

Membership in the cremation society allows you to make all arrangements in advance, thereby relieving survivors of the need to make urgent decisions while in the state of grief. Pre-planning provides families with complete peace of mind, both emotionally and financially.

Even if someone is not a member at the time of death, our directors are available to help survivors plan arrangements. These could include memorial services, filing for certified copies of death certificate, cemetery services, obituaries for newspapers and paperwork for Veteran's benefits.

Most Society members are attracted to the purity and dignity of this cremation. Many also are concerned citizens who look toward the future and the eventual scarcity of land. Most believe that the thousands of dollars saved can be put to a much more meaningful use through bequests to children or grandchildren, or perhaps left as memorials to a favorite charity or institution as a continuing effort to build a better tomorrow.
