William A. Wise, II
William Allen Wise II, age 89, passed away on February 13, 2010 at Life Care Center, Hilton Head Island, SC. He was born January 28, 1921 in Newark New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Civil Engineering degree and received a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. He served in the US Army during WWII and retired from active duty in July 1968. He moved to Hilton Head Island in 1980. He is survived by his wife, Betty Gambrill Wise of Hilton Head Island; sons William Allen Wise III of Atlanta, GA and Edmund Gambrill Wise of Bluffton, SC, daughter Jane Sherwood Carden of Rochester NY; six grandchildren and two great children. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on February 23rd at St. Andrews By-The-Sea United Methodist Church in Hilton Head.
